To find a stratigraphical division of the Middle and the Late Pleistocene of Northern Switzerland, the sedimentological and morphological field observations of seven key regions are explained and interpreted. The investigations include the period after the sedimentation of the “Tieferen Deckenschotter” along the High Rhine (Hochrhein) and the subsequent period of a strong erosion that started in the Lake of Konstanz area.
