The enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose is still considered as a main limiting step of the biological production of biofuels from lignocellulosic biomass. This step involves the action of three types of cellulose degrading enzymes acting in a synergic way: Endoglucanases, Cellobiohydrolases and ß­glucosidases.
