Presaccharification of Two-Step Pretreated Sugarcane Bagasse

The effect of presaccharification on final ethanol concentration obtained from pretreated sugarcane bagasse is studied. Pretreatment was performed in two steps. The first stage was directed to xylan separation. Two alternatives were analysed: 1) obtaining xylose at 45 g/L concentration for ethanol production, and 2) furfural production.
