Validation of a High through put Analysis of Microalgae Carbohydrates for Bio-ethanol Production

The focus of this study was to validate a methodology for evaluating the potential of using microalgae for bio-ethanol production. For this work, samples of Red algae were fully characterized: carbohydrates, soluble sugars, lipids, ashes, moisture and protein content. Then, microalgae were subject to a two-step high-throughput micro-plate enzymatic hydrolysis process (1 ml working volume).
