Modelling Pyrolysis Kinetics Effect on a Pilot Scale Conical Spouted Bed Reactor Performance

The aim of this work is to focus on spouted bed reactor operating conditions at Ikerlan­IK4 pyrolysis pilot scale plant, designed for 25 kg/h biomass feeding rate. Specifically, bed temperature and particle size were studied. As well as cold flow hydrodynamic studies, heat transfer characteristics and pyrolysis kinetics were also studied in order to predict the performance of the reactor.
