Corrosion Relevant Properties of Flue Gas from Small Scale Wooden Biofuel Combustion

The testing of metal chimney systems concerning their resistance against cold end corrosion is defined in the European normative EN 1856­1. In this normative hydrochloric acid and sulphur dioxide are considered as the main corrosion relevant species. The testing is conducted with flue gas from natural gas, oil and coal combustion.
