The Province of Alberta (Canada) is uniquely positioned to combine the strengths of its large energy industry (hydrocarbons) with its wealth of agriculture and forestry resources. Alberta has invested almost $300 million CAD to support bioeconomy initiatives in the areas of feedstock improvement, biomass conversion and product development.
