Vitis Pruning Material: Variability in Quantity and Quality of the Lignocellulosic Material Among 42 Varieties Cultivated in Italy

The variability of the amount of pruning material and of the content of non-structural carbohydrate (NSC) in the pruning material, was evaluated in 42 grape cultivars. Furthermore, in the two cultivars showing the highest and lowest content of starch, the content of glucose and xylose after acid hydrolysis was also measured.
