Improving the Ash Melting Behaviour of Low Sintering Culm Shaped Biomass Ashes

M. Mann, D. Hein & W. Krumm
The focus of this paper is the investigation of low cost additives applied in combustion and gasification processes in a fluidized bed lab scale reactor. These additives should minimize the sintering and agglomeration tendencies of the ashes to realise high as well as constant process temperature. The new approach of this study is the use of fuel ashes instead of fuel. A rotary kiln at a temperature of 550 °C is used for fuel ashing....
