This paper presents a liquid-quench based sampling system applied for the characterization of gas streams in biomass gasification plants and development units. This is a simple, reliable and robust system that allows simultaneous time-resolved measurements of condensable (water, tars, sulfur containing tars, etc.) and non condensable (H2, CO, CO2, CH4, C2H4, etc.) compounds in the sampled gas.
