The objective of the presented experiments is the conversion of the biomass to a liquid, combustible, and light oil. The hydrothermal process studied uses a feed stream, consisting of an aqueous slurry of a biomass (yeast) and a second stream, consisting of water and the gaseous products of the gasification of an aqueous methanol solution at supercritical temperature.
