Change of Kinetic Rates on Hydrothermal Gasification of Model Biomass in Supercritical Water

Glucose, as a typical model compound for lignocellulosic biomass, was gasified in a tubular reactor under the pressure of 20¬25 MPa. The reaction temperature ranged from 300 to 450 oC. Hydrothermal decomposition of glucose in the reaction network model, assuming the first¬order reaction, was constructed, based on experimental product yields of glucose, fructose, char, gas, furfural, 5¬HMF and other water¬soluble products (TOC).
