Quality and Characteristics of Ash Material from Energy Plants in Eastern Finland

Most of the waste resulting from energy production in power plants consists of ash and dust. In 2003 the Finnish incineration plants and power plants produced over 1.6 tonnes of ash, from which about 80% is classified as fly ash.
