Activated Carbon Catalytic Supercritical Water Gasification of Glycine

Supercritical water gasification (SCWG) of glycine was studied in a tubular flow reactor which has the inside diameter of 2.17 mm and the length of 12 m. The experiments were carried out at 500­650 oC, 25 MPa with residence times in a range of 63­188 s. Activated carbon of 0.5 wt% was used as a catalyst.
