Combustion of the Hydrolytic Lignin Residue from 2nd Generation Biorefinery

In this work the combustion behavior of lignin-rich solid residue from reed (Arundo donax) was investigated in atmospheres of oxygen, i.e. 21 kPa and 101 kPa. The residue derived from processing reed that was pretreated by continuous steam explosion, then hydrolyzed by enzymes, recovered by filtration and dried.
