A novel structural light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) array was proposed for reducing the noise interference induced into the measurement system when light beam illuminated the nonsensitive regions. We improved the noise rejection of LAPS array with boron heavily doping and thick oxide formation on corresponding areas. Through the modification of the individual sensitive region with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) membrane containing specific receptor molecules, relevant cations (Pb2+, Cd2+, Zn2+) were detected simultaneously.
