P2.9.30 Building of a double-layered gas sensors array-based electronic nose to assess the freshness of fish

In this study, the main gas compositions of spoiled fish was found to be sulfide compounds rather than amine compounds by using Tenax TA trap followed by thermo desorption (TD) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). And then, a bio-inspired two-layer multiple-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-polymer composite sensor system was developed to detect sulfide compounds especially dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), the major compound released from the spoiled fish.
