The presented work deals with preliminary investigations of contamination conditions prior the bonding procedure of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) structures. As identified by airplane manufacturers, the monitoring of thermal damages and different contamination scenarios like moisture uptake and release agent and oil residues is required before bonding of CFRP.
