Virologists are apparently NOT scientists

Carlo Castaldi
In Nature Magazine, Zhou et al. presented a discovery of a new bat virus without presenting any evidence for who actually obtained the sample, as well as how, when and precisely where the sample was obtained. That their paper passed through peer review and was accepted by the virological community raises serious concerns about whether or not virologists can continue to be called "scientists."
