This dummy was used at the camouflage school at Kensington Gardens to teach about a device used by the enemy on different parts of their front. Similar dummies were dressed in capured khaki to appear like British soldiers. These were placed in no-man's-land and by means of a cord an arm was raised as if for assistance.
