Manuscript in pencil in Ivor Gurney's hand. Also included in a letter of September 1918 to Marion Scott. The 'F.W.H.' refers to the poet F.W. Harvey, a friend of Gurney's who was reported missing in August 1916 but was later known to have been taken prisoner. Included in 'War's Embers' (1919).
