The photo is of my grandfather Albert Edward Ville (sitting front left) who was called up in July 1917 and became a rifleman in the Queen's Westminster Rifles (16th London). He was wounded on 23rd August 1918 at Elverdinge near Ypres whilst a signalman in the 22nd London. He suffered a number of wounds and after first aid was 'taken back to blighty' to recuperate in Cardiff. I have also submitted separately a photo that...
