Different Types of Flow - Supercritical and Subcritical Flow

N. N.
"The tilting flume at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at RWTH Aachen University shows the differences between subcritical and supercritical flow. Therefore, a hydraulic jump is generated in open channel flow. A hydraulic jump is formed when the depth of flow changes from supercritical to subcritical state." This is part of the Open Educational Resources Initiative by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the RWTH Aachen University.
