The Salud Mesoamérica Initiative (SMI) focuses on reducing inequalities in maternal and child health in Mesoamerica. This dataset is the product of an SMI impact evaluation. It includes results of a baseline household census and baseline household survey conducted in eight departments in El Salvador. The census captured basic demographic characteristics of all usual household occupants and was used to produce a sample of households containing eligible women (ages 15-49) and children (ages 0-59 months)...
