To explore patient perspectives of participating in a pilot RCT evaluating feasibility and effect of anabolic steroid, physiotherapy and nutritional supplement following hip fracture. Semi-structured telephone-based interviews of 16 women and three men (average age 73 years) were conducted at baseline and after a 12-week intervention. Qualitative content analysis was performed.
