Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) is an industrial fiber crop with significant heterosis and tolerance to abiotic stresses. However, the mechanism underlying heterosis in kenaf under drought conditions is completely unknown. In this study, F1 hybrids were remarkably tolerant to drought stress.
