Entangled philosophical ideologies. : the language of reason: from modern french to scholastic latin

This contribution aims to introduce a nuance into the common view according to which French nationalism, unlike German nationalism, had little to do with genealogical and linguistic ideologies. It explores some textual examples demonstrating that the German conception of nationalism, above all its linguistic orientation, influenced French history of philosophy in the mid-19th century.
