Bensberg Earthquake Network

Combined weak and strong motion network to monitor the natural and mining-induced seismicity of the Lower Rhine Embayment. Operation of the observatory started in 1955 after a damaging earthquake of magnitude 5.8 near Euskirchen, with some of the external stations dating back to the 1970s.
