Measurements of Cloud Base Height (CBH) at the Thule High Arctic Atmospheric Observatory (THAAO) are carried out by means of a LUFFT Nimbus CHM15k ceilometer. The ceilometer is a laser remote sensing device with embedded algorithm for determining layers of particles and droplets in the atmosphere. The CHM15k Algorithm provides the Cloud Base Height (CBH) together with the Cloud Penetration Depth (CPD), and it is able to discriminate up to 3 different layers of clouds...
Il terremoto di Palombara Sabina del 1901
Salvatore Paolini, Antonio Rossi & Andrea Tertulliani
The earthquake of April 24, 1901, known as the Palombara Sabina earthquake, is the most important event (Mw 5.2, I0 8 MCS) with epicenter in the Roman province. In spite of this, the earthquake has been poorly documented to date. The aim of the present work is to update the level of knowledge through a complete reappraisal of the sources, and above all an investigation for new accounts to reconstruct the actual impact on the...
