Asexual lineages are thought to be prone to extinction because of deleterious mutation accumulation (Muller's ratchet). Here we analyze genomic effects of hybridity, polyploidy and allelic divergence in apomictic plants, and identify loci under divergent selection among sexual/apomictic lineages.
