This dataset consists of the images of Codex Zacynthius (Cambridge, University Library, MS Add. 10062) captured using multi-spectral and x-ray photography in July 2018. The images were taken by the Early Manuscripts Electronic Library (EMEL), working on behalf of the Codex Zacynthius Project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Intracellular Na elevation in the heart is a hallmark of pathologies where both acute and chronic metabolic remodeling occurs. We assessed whether acute (75μM ouabain 100nM blebbistatin) and chronic myocardial Naiload (PLM3SA mouse) are causally linked to metabolic remodeling and whether the hypertrophied failing heart shares a common Na-mediated metabolic ‘fingerprint’. There is no consensus about how terrestrial biodiversity was assembled through deep time, and in particular whether it has risen exponentially over the Phanerozoic. Using a database of 38,711 fossil occurrences, we show that the spatial extent of the ‘global’ terrestrial tetrapod fossil record itself expands exponentially through the Phanerozoic, and that this spatial variation explains around 75% of the variation in known fossil species counts. Keeping it simple: Implementation and performance of the proto-principle of adaptation and learning in the language sciences

In this paper we present the Widrow-Hoff rule and its applications to language data. After contextualizing the rule historically and placing it in the chain of neurally inspired artificial learning models, we explain its rationale and implementational considerations. Using a number of case studies we illustrate how the Widrow-Hoff rule offers unexpected opportunities for the computational simulation of a range of language phenomena that make it possible to approach old problems from a novel perspective.
