The miscibility between hydrophobic and hydrophilic biopolymers has been of significant challenge. This study used a novel simplified chitin modification method to produce phthalic - chitin using phthalic anhydride in a substitution reaction. The FT-IR functional group analysis was used to confirm the substitution reaction. The modified chitin was used as compatibiliser in PLA/starch biocomposite to enhance its properties. The biocomposite was prepared using melt extrusion and compression moulding technique. The biocomposite's morphological, thermomechanical, and...

The study investigated the use of social media in the marketing of agricultural products and farmers turnover in South-South Nigeria. The purpose of the study was to determine the extent to which the usage of social media in the marketing of agricultural products in Nigeria can enhance efficiency and farmers’ sales turnover. It employed the survey research design and data were collected with the help of a structured questionnaire. Research data were analysed using t-test...

Abstract Background Data available support that ninety percent of male infertility cases are due to low sperm counts. There is a scarcity of data on the medicinal effects of cannabis on fertility. This study evaluated testicular function and sperm quality modulation with cannabis in rats. Methodology Twenty-five male Wistar rats were randomly grouped into five: A, B, C, and D, each group have 5 rats. A (control): 0.2 ml 2% DMSO, B (vitamin C): 90...

Perception of workload balance and employee job satisfaction in work organisations

Henry Inegbedion
The data article focuses on perception of workload balance and employee job satisfaction in work organisations. The design of the study was a cross-sectional survey. The population of the study consisted of employees of eight multinational companies and two private Universities in Nigeria. Thus, the study employed two samples and used a structured questionnaire in eliciting the data from the respondents. Content validity index served to validate the research instrument while Cronbach alpha was used...
