Data from: Variations of thermophysical properties and heat transfer performance of nanoparticle-enhanced ionic liquids

Fangfang Zhang, Feifei Zheng, Xuehong Wu, Yaling Yin & Geng Chen
The ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([EMIm]Ac) was investigated as a promising absorbent for absorption refrigeration. To improve the thermal conductivity of pure [EMIm]Ac, ionic-liquid-based nanofluids (ionanofluids) were prepared by adding graphene nanoplatelets. The thermal stability of the ionic liquid and ionanofluids was analysed. The variations of the thermal conductivity, viscosity and specific heat capacity resulting from the addition of the graphene nanoplatelets were then measured over a wide range of temperatures and mass fractions. The...

Ribociclib (LEE011) suppresses cell proliferation and induces apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 by inhibiting CDK4/6-cyclin D-Rb-E2F pathway

Tianqi Li, Yudi Xiong, Qingqing Wang, Fengxia Chen, Yangyang Zeng, Xiaoyan Yu, Yuan Wang, Fuxiang Zhou & Yunfeng Zhou
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) stands for a refractory subtype, which predicts poor prognosis and has no effective therapies yet for improving it. Given the restrictions of traditional treatments, novel therapeutic strategies need excavating to alleviate the intrinsic or acquired resistance. Ribociclib, a selective CDK4/6 inhibitor, has successfully prevented cancers from deteriorating by intervening the CDK4/6-cyclin D-Rb-E2F pathway, especially for estrogen receptor-positive (ER +) breast cancer. However, there still remains limited accessibility referring to TNBC. Performing...

Circular RNA ZFR accelerates non-small cell lung cancer progression by acting as a miR-101-3p sponge to enhance CUL4B expression

Haifeng Zhang, Xiaolong Wang, Baoli Hu, Feng Zhang, Haitao Wei & Li Li
Non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) is the most common type of lung cancer. Circular RNA ZFR (circZFR) is an identified circular RNA (circRNA) that is correlated with cancer progression. However, the role of circZFR in NSCLC remains unknown. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the function of circZFR in NSCLC and the underlying mechanism. The expression patterns of circZFR were determined using qRT-PCR in NSCLC samples and cell lines. The subcellular distribution of circZFR...

Synthesis of Ni-Mg@HC catalyst derived from sugarcane bagasse and its application for producing syngas via CO2 dry reforming

Yan Liang, Jun han, Huaqin Wang, Bo Zhao, Linbo Qin & Yu Wang
In this paper, sugarcane bagasse was used as the raw material to produce hydrochar (HC) through the hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) process, then Ni and Mg were loaded on HC by the impregnation method. Thus, a serial of Ni-Mgx@HC core-shell structural catalysts for CO2 dry reforming were synthesized. In order to evaluate the application of Ni-Mgx@HC catalyst derived from sugarcane bagasse, the catalytic performance for CO2 dry reforming were investigated. Experimental results showed that the hydrochar...

High-flow nasal cannula versus nasal continuous positive airway pressure for respiratory support in preterm infants: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Hui Hong, Xiao-xia Li, Jing Li & Zhi-qun Zhang
Background: As a noninvasive respiratory support mode, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) is widely used in preterm infants at neonatal care units. HFNC is often used as an alternative to nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) for initial or post-extubation respiratory support. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of HFNC and NCPAP for respiratory support in preterm infants. Methods: We searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library,...

We investigated the allele frequencies of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination (ADME)-related drug-metabolizing enzymes and transporters (DMET) genes in the Northwestern Han, Tibetan and Uyghur populations and compared the related genes in these three populations with those in eleven 1000 Genome populations. We examined 1936 single nucleotide polymorphisms of 225 DMET genes involved in ADME processes and found 732, 679 and 804 sites were polymorphic in Han, Tibetan and Uyghur. Tibetan differed from Han...

Jinggang Cui, Wei Li, Guohua Liu, Xiaojun Chen, Xiaolai Gao, Huiling Lu & Dang Lin
More and more circular RNAs (circRNAs) revealed to play a critical role in the initiation and progression of cancer, however, the effects of circRNAs on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain largely undetermined. In the present study, we screened the dysregulated circRNAs in paired NSCLC and normal samples from GEO database and identified circ_0043278 was to be significantly up-regulated in NSCLC and demonstrated it promotes NSCLC progression in vitro and in vivo. Then, we revealed...

Myotubularin related protein 7 (MTMR7), a key member of the MTMR family, depicts phosphatase activity and is involved in myogenesis and tumor growth. We have previously identified MTMR7 in the proteomic profile of mouse spermatogonial stem cell (SSC) maturation and differentiation, implying that MTMR7 is associated with neonatal testicular development. In this study, to further explore the distribution and function of MTMR7 in mouse testis, we studied the effect of Mtmr7 knockdown on neonatal testicular...

Guifeng Ding, Liu Liping, Duan Moli, Aibibula Wuliyeti, Zhou Shaohe, Wang Huijuan, Peng Chen, Chao Chen & Bai Guiqin
It was previously reported that the ratio of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1) to placental growth factor (PlGF) can predict the clinical onset of preeclampsia. This study seeks to validate the association between ratios of sFlt-1/PlGF with preeclampsia and to identify the contribution of ethnicity across diverse populations of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Pregnant women were classified into those with preeclampsia (n = 136) and healthy controls (n = 350). Serum levels of sFlt-1...

Sevoflurane suppresses migration and invasion of glioma cells by regulating miR-146b-5p and MMP16

Le Zhang, Jun Wang, Zhijie Fu, YanQiu Ai, Yanrong Li, Ying Wang & Yanping Wang
Glioma is the most common brain tumor with poor prognosis all over the world. Anesthetics have been demonstrated to have important impacts on cell migration and invasion in different cancers. However, the underlying mechanism that allows anesthetics-mediated progression of glioma cells remains elusive. Sevoflurane (Sev), a class of common anesthetics, was used to expose to U87-MG and U251 cells. The expressions of microRNA-146b-5p (miR-146b-5p) and matrix metallopeptidase 16 (MMP16)were measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain...
