Can WTO Member States Rely on Citizen Concerns to Prevent Corporations from Importing Goods Made from Child Labour?

Aleydis Nissen
There has been a polarised debate on the desirability of import restrictions to increase corporate accountability for child labour that occurs in global supply chains. Some scholars have indicated that states in favour of imposing import restrictions could sidestep this debate relying upon the perceptions that people in the importing market might have. They have based this argument on the case law of the World Trade Organization’s Dispute Settlement Mechanism (WTO DSM). The attitude-behaviour gap...

Quantitative Trait Loci of Solanaceae species

Arnold Kuzniar & Gurnoor Singh
This archive contains experimental data on Quantitative Trait Loci (QTLs) mapped in Solanacea species (tomato and potato). QTLs were extracted from scientific literature using the QTLTableMiner++ tool. The resulting data are distributed in: SQLite database files (.db) CSV files (.csv) RDF/Turle files (gzip-ed .ttl)

QTLTableMiner++: a tool for mining tables in scientific articles

Gurnoor Singh & Arnold Kuzniar
Quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping experiments are commonly described in scientific literature but the results presented in tables are difficult to re-use. QTLTableMiner++ (QTM) enables to make these results available in machine-readable formats.

LiberTEM is an open source platform for high-throughput distributed processing of large-scale binary data sets using a simplified MapReduce programming model. The current focus is pixelated scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and scanning electron beam diffraction data. It is designed for high throughput and scalability on PCs, single server nodes, clusters and cloud services. On clusters it can use fast distributed local storage on high-performance SSDs. That way it achieves very...

Speed up and other fixes New Features 1) Speed up MACS2 with some programming tricks and code cleanup. The `filter_dup` function replaces `separate_dups`. The later one was implemented for potentially putting back duplicate reads in certain downstream analysis. However such analysis hasn't been implemented. Optimize the speed of writing bedGraph files. Optimize BAM and BAMPE parsing with pointer casting instead of python unpack. 2) The comment lines in the headers of BED or SAM files...

kundajelab/tfmodisco: Bugfix for reducing threshold for numerical precision for symmetry check

Av Shrikumar, Katherine Tian, Annashcherbina, Žiga Avsec, Amr , Rosa Ma, Stefan Holderbach, Mhfzsharmin, Surag Nair & Pgreenside
The threshold I had to check for symmetry of the coarse-grained affinity matrix within numerical precision was too stringent (presumably because the dot produce involves summation so numerical error gets added); relaxed the threshold in commit https://github.com/kundajelab/tfmodisco/commit/adee3119eb1b0c6e83d36692e612dfdd15f56045. @atseng95 this should fix the error you messaged Abhi about.
