Der Deutsche Alterssurvey (DEAS) ist eine Langzeitstudie zum Wandel der Lebenssituationen und Alternsverläufe von Menschen, die sich in der zweiten Lebenshälfte befinden. Grundlage sind bundesweit repräsentative Befragungen im Quer- und Längsschnitt von jeweils mehreren tausend Teilnehmern im Alter ab 40 Jahren.

In den Erhebungsjahren 1996, 2002, 2008 und 2014 wurde je eine neue Basisstichprobe gezogen und in den Jahren 2002, 2008, 2011 und 2014 wurden frühere Teilnehmer erneut interviewt (Panel).

Vascular plant herbarium TRH, NTNU University Museum

This is the largest herbarium at NTNU University Museum, containing around 240 000 specimens from Norway and the Nordic countries. Most of the specimens were collected in Central Norway. The vascular plant herbarium also contains around 32 000 specimens from the rest of the world, most of which is not yet digitized. The arctic collection contains professor Olav Gjørevoll's material from Alaska and Canada - about 6 000 digitized specimens.

The vascular plant herbarium at Tromsø Museum. More than 90% of the specimens are from the Norwegian mainland, and of these ~80-85% are from Finnmark, Troms and Nordland. The vascular plant herbarium also contains valuable collections from the other Nordic countries as well as the arctic. The herbarium contains around 7000 specimens from Jan Mayen, arctic Canada, Alaska, Svalbard and Bjørnøya.

The Entomological collections contain research material of all extant terrestrial and aquatic arthropod groups except crustaceans:Hexapoda, Myriopoda, Tardigrada, Arachnoidea and Cheliceratea. More than 430 000 needle mounted insects have been identified with genus or species names and an additional number identified to family level. Moreover, the collection contains about 42,000 tubes with ethanol-fixed insects identified to genus or species level, and 29,000 slides (mainly aphids and chironomids). The Norwegian and Nordic bryophyte herbarium contains more than 100 000 specimens, most of which have been digitized. Collections from the late 1800s and early 1900s comprise the foundation of this collection, primarily through the work of Ingebrigt Severin Hagen who worked at the NTNU University Museum from 1907 until his death in 1917.
