Low mass planet migration in three dimensional wind-driven inviscid discs: A negative corotation torque - Animations

Colin P. McNally, Richard P. Nelson, Sijme-Jan Paardekooper, Pablo Benítez-Llambay & Oliver Gressel
Animations accompanying the paper "Low mass planet migration in three dimensional wind-driven inviscid discs: A negative corotation torque". Each file corresponds to a panel of Figures 3 and 4. All videos are at a frame rate 10 frames per second with one orbit per frame. Note these animations use a fixed colour scale, while the figures in the paper use colour scales tuned for the panels shown. The prefix of the filenames matches the title...

In Situ Investigation of Fluid-Quartz Interactions at Ångstrom Resolution

Elizabeth Barsotti, Ziqiang Qin & Mohammad Piri
Video demonstrating the adsorption of water to the walls of micropores in a Berea sandstone sample. Adsorption-induced strain is observed as changes to the sizes and shapes of the pores during water injection. Video was obtained from a Titan G2 Environmental Transmission Electron Microscope. The vacuum gauges labeled PP/0 and BC/0 readout the pressure of the atmosphere immediately surrounding the sample.

Video demonstrating the adsorption of water to the walls of a micropore in Fond du Lac dolostone. Adsorption-induced strain is observed as changes to the size and shape of the pore during water injection. Additional imaging after water injection provides examples of different types of pores in the dolostone once dry (i.e., vacuum) conditions have been re-established. Video was obtained from a Titan G2 Environmental Transmission Electron Microscope. The vacuum gauges labeled PP/0 and BC/0...

Supplementary materials. On Boolean gates in fungal colony.

Andrew Adamatzky, Martin Tegelaar, Han Wosten, Anna L. Powell, Alexander E. Beasley & Richard Mayne
This is a collection of video and data sets supplementing paper `On Boolean gates in fungal colony' Abstract: A fungal colony maintains its integrity via flow of cytoplasm along mycelium network. This flow, together with possible coordination of mycelium tips propagation, is controlled by calcium waves and associated waves of electrical potential changes. We propose that these excitation waves can be employed to implement a computation in the mycelium networks. We use FitzHugh-Nagumo model to...

Dieter Leckschat & Christian Epe

Dieter Leckschat, Christian Epe, Niklas Dahlheimer, Maximilian Bier, Lukas Prinz & Hendrik Schulte
