Measuring drought risk: the exposure and sensitivity of Australian farms to drought

To support the Future Drought Fund, ABARES has been commissioned by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to analyse the effects of drought on Australian farms. In this study, ABARES model farmpredict is used to generate quantitative measures of farm drought risk (i.e., the sensitivity of farms to drought, not the frequency of drought). The report measures how drought risk varies across different sectors and how it has changed over time.
