Detailed preliminary information on confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Revised), Public Health Agency of Canada

In collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), this table provides Canadians and researchers with preliminary data to monitor only the confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada. Given the rapidly-evolving nature of this situation, these data are considered preliminary.

Dysregulation of Ephrin receptor and PPAR signaling pathways in neural progenitor cells infected by Zika virus

Sathya N. Thulasi Raman, Elyse Latreille, Jun Gao, Wanyue Zhang, Jianguo Wu, Marsha S. Russell, Lisa Walrond, Terry Cyr, Jessie R. Lavoie, David Safronetz, Jingxin Cao, Simon Sauve, Aaron Farnsworth, Wangxue Chen, Pei-Yong Shi, Youchun Wang, Lisheng Wang, Michael Rosu-Myles & Xuguang Li
Zika virus (ZIKV) infection is a serious public threat with cases reported in about 70 countries and territories. One of the most serious consequences of ZIKV infection is congenital microcephaly in babies. Congenital microcephaly has been suggested to result from infection of neural progenitor cells (NPCs) in the developing fetal brain. However, the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying microcephaly development remains to be fully elucidated. In this study, we employed quantitative proteomics to determine protein...

Variation in host home range size decreases rabies vaccination effectiveness by increasing the spatial spread of rabies virus

Katherine McClure, Amy Gilbert, Richard Chipman, Erin Rees & Kim Pepin
1. Animal movement influences the spatial spread of directly-transmitted wildlife disease through host-host contact structure. Wildlife disease hosts vary in home range-associated foraging and social behaviors, which may increase the spread and intensity of disease outbreaks. The consequences of variation in host home range movement and space use on wildlife disease dynamics are poorly understood, but could help to predict disease spread and determine more effective disease management strategies. 2. We developed a spatially-explicit individual-based...

Detailed preliminary information on cases of COVID-19: 4 Dimensions (Aggregated data), Public Health Agency of Canada

This table will provide an aggregate summary of the data displayed in 13-10-0781-01.
