The data set "Grenoble ball mill" is based on the published data set (Lourantou et al. 2010) and measured on the EDC96 core. The ages of this data set is recalculated and transferred from the EDC3 age scale to the age scale of Lemieux-Dudon et al., 2010. Additionally, an offset correction was applied to the d13C measurements. All data were shifted by 0.16 per mil towards heavier values.

Six oil samples were from the same oil field but different oil wells: light oil, heavy oil samples A, B, C, D and E. We measured their viscosity with different shear rates at three temperatures, using Anton Paar rotation viscometer.
