Census and city data proves that current class and racial divides in Charlottesville neighborhoods correlate to 1950s redlining maps. Specifically, data from the 2020 decennial Census, Charlottesville's open data portal, and a 1951 Charlottesville Health Department 'Appraisal of the Quality of Housing' were utilized in ArcGIS to show how historic racism is still impacting Charlottesville's Black and low income neighborhoods.
