The Wyoming Cloud Radar (WCR) is an airborne polarimetric Doppler radar operating at W-band (94.921 GHz). Up to 4 antenna are employable, and can be configured to observe targets above, below, and laterally from the aircraft. The WCR provides high-resolution measurements of reflectivity and radial velocity, along with the capability of measuring differential reflectivity and linear depolarization ratio. It is deployable aboard both the University of Wyoming King Air and the NSF/NCAR C-130 research aircraft.

The University of Wyoming Cloud Lidar (WCL)

The Wyoming Cloud Lidar (WCL) system includes the zenith WCL at 355 nm and the nadir WCL at 351 nm. It provides high spatial resolution cloud structure and composition. Its primary airborne platform is the University of Wyoming King Air research aircraft, but may be installed on other aircraft as well, including the NSF/NCAR C-130 aircraft.
