Generalized Poisson integer-valued autoregressive processes with structural changes

Chenhui Zhang, Dehui Wang, Kai Yang, Han Li & Xiaohong Wang
In this paper, we introduce a new first-order generalized Poisson integer-valued autoregressive process, for modeling integer-valued time series exhibiting a piecewise structure and overdispersion. Basic probabilistic and statistical properties of this model are discussed. Conditional least squares and conditional maximum likelihood estimators are derived. The asymptotic properties of the estimators are established. Moreover, two special cases of the process are discussed. Finally, some numerical results of the estimates and a real data example are presented.

A pharmacovigilance analysis of FDA adverse event reporting system events for romosozumab

Zepeng Chen, Ming Li, Shuzhen Li, Yuxi Li, Junyan Wu, Kaifeng Qiu, Xiaoxia Yu, Lin Huang & Guanghui Chen
Romosozumab is a novel drug for the treatment of osteoporosis. The adverse reactions of romosozumab still need to be explored. The FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) provides an enormous dataset for adverse events (AEs) analysis. AEs registered in FAERS between January 2019 and December 2020 were collected for this study. The reporting odds ratio (ROR) method was applied to analyze the AEs of romosozumab. The number of AEs ≥4 cases and ROR value 95%...

In this study, the flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) genes associated with resistance to the disease pasmo (Septoria linicola (Speg.) Garassini) were mapped using genome resequencing and bulked segregant analysis (BSA) of genomic DNA of the pasmo-resistant parent y62–9, pasmo-susceptible parent y64–5, and F2 generation segregants. Pasmo resistance genes were identified using Gene Ontology (GO) functional prediction and gene annotation methods. A Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis revealed the biological information and molecular...

Iron-related dietary pattern increases the risk of poor cognition

Zumin Shi, Tahra El-Obeid, Ming Li, Xiaoyue Xu & Jianghong Liu
High iron intake has been shown to be associated with poor cognition. We aimed to examine the association between iron-related dietary pattern (IDP) and cognitive function in Chinese adults. Longitudinal study data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) during 1991–2006 were used (N = 4852, ≥55 years old). Dietary intake was obtained from a 3-day food record during home visits. Reduced rank regression was used to construct IDP with iron intake as a...
