Magnetically recyclable Cu-BTC@Fe3O4-catalyzed chlorosulfonylation of vinylarenes

Xin Zhang, Liang Wang & Qiaoyong Zhu
A chlorosulfonylation of vinylarenes using magnetic metal–organic framework (MOF) composite Cu-BTC@Fe3O4 (BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate) as the catalyst has been developed. This protocol features easily accessible starting materials, good functional group compatibility and simple recovery of the catalyst. The recovered catalyst could be reused for at least successive five runs with only a slight decrease in its catalytic activity.

Compound glycyrrhiza oral solution alleviates oxidative stress and inflammation by regulating SRC/MAPK pathway in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Xiaolin Xu, Mulan Huang, Xiaofeng Duan, Hongyu Liu, Wei Zhang & Dan Li
Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) suffer from persistent cough and breathlessness, which can be ameliorated by the Chinese herbal medicine glycyrrhiza. Furthermore, the SRC/MAPK pathway is activated in the process of oxidative stress and inflammation, which afflict COPD progression. Thus, this research aimed at dissecting the mechanism of compound glycyrrhiza oral solution (CGOS) relieving oxidative stress and inflammation in COPD via the SRC/MAPK pathway. After a COPD rat model was established using lipopolysaccharide...

ELK1-Induced upregulation of long non-coding TNK2-AS1 promotes the progression of acute myeloid leukemia by EZH2-mediated epigenetic silencing of CELF2

Dongfang Guo, Airong Zhang, Meifang Suo, Ping Wang & Yile Liang
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the second most common hematological malignancy after lymphoma in the world. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) have been suggested as key regulators of cancer development and progression in AML. As a member of lncRNA family, the biological role and mechanisms of tyrosine kinase non receptor 2 antisense RNA 1 (TNK2-AS1) in AML is still unclear. The expression of TNK2-AS1 was measured with RT-qPCR in AML cell lines. The changes of the...

Purpose: Understanding the mechanism of brain functional alterations in rectal cancer (RC) patients is of great significance to improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients. Additionally, the influence of chemotherapy on brain function in RC patients is still unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate the alterations of brain functional network dynamics in RC patients and explore the effects of chemotherapy on temporal dynamics of dynamic functional connectivity (DFC).
