Many Labs 3 is a crowdsourced project that will systematically evaluate time-of-semester effects across many participant pools. The project team will create a single experimental protocol assessing 10 known effects within 30 minutes. As many labs as can join will administer the same protocol across the academic semester. The aggregate data will provide high-powered evidence whether time-of-semester moderates the detectability of effects. Effects will be selected based on the lay theories of what is likely...

Social Context and Mixed-Race Individuals

Jazmin Brown-Iannuzzi & Erin Cooley
This study will investigate whether social context influences people’s perceptions of the race of mixed-race men. That is, when a mixed-race man (i.e., half Black American; half White American) is surrounded by other Black American men, do people perceive this person to be more Black American than when the mixed-race person is alone? Conversely, when a mixed race man (half Black American; half White American) is surrounded by other White American men, do people perceive...

We conducted replications of 13 effects in psychological science with 36 samples and more than 6000 participants. We examined heterogeneity in replicability across sample and setting.
