Psychotic disorders are frequently associated with decline in functioning and cognitive difficulties are observed in subjects at clinical high risk (CHR) for psychosis. In this work, we applied automatic approaches to neurocognitive and functioning measures, with the aim of investigating the link between global, social and occupational functioning, and cognition. 102 CHR subjects and 110 patients with recent onset depression (ROD) were recruited. Global assessment of functioning (GAF) related to symptoms (GAF-S) and disability (GAF-D)....

Structuring a conceptual model for cost effectiveness analysis of frailty interventions
Hossein Haji Ali Afzali, Jonathan Karnon, Olga Theou, Justin Beilby, Matteo Cesari & Renuka Visvanathan
Background Frailty is a major health issue which impacts the life of older people, posing a significant challenge to the health system. One of the key emerging areas is the development of frailty interventions to halt or reverse the progression of the condition. In many countries, economic evidence is required to inform public funding decisions for such interventions, and cost-effectiveness models are needed to estimate long-term costs and effects. Such models should capture current clinical...
“Better late than never but never late is better”, especially in young women. A multicenter Italian study on diagnostic delay for symptomatic endometriosis

The aim of the study was to assess the length of diagnostic delay of symptomatic endometriosis in Italy and analyse the presence of correlations between the socio-demographic status of patients and the clinical characteristics/type of diagnosis. This multicenter cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was conducted in 10 tertiary Italian referral centres for diagnosis and treatment endometriosis. A total of 689 respondents with histologically proven endometriosis and onset of the disease with pain symptoms completed an on-line self-reported...

Paraviral cutaneous manifestations associated to SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant
Luisa Zupin, Chiara Moltrasio, Paola Maura Tricarico, Cecilia Del Vecchio, Francesco Fontana, Angelo Valerio Marzano & Sergio Crovella
The spreading of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant is probably due to its increased transmissibility and ability to escape from neutralising antibodies. Cutaneous manifestations have been reported after infection with the Omicron strain, consisting mainly of generalised urticarial eruption and prickly heat rash, also known as miliaria, that can persist for several days. Here the impact of Omicron SARS-CoV-2 on skin was investigated. The case series of 10 patients with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant-related cutaneous manifestations were...
