Resembling acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is a unique subtype of APL who sharing clinical, morphological, and immunophenotypic features with typical APL, but lacking evidence of PML-RARA fusion gene and usually insensitive to arsenic trioxide (ATO) and all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA). For years, RARA, RARB and RARG rearrangement were found in resembling APL continually. The confirmed partner genes of RARG rearrangement included CPSF6, NUP98, NPM1, PML, and HNRNPC. These patients were a group of resembling APL...

A wave of Omicron infections rapidly emerged in China in 2022, but large-scale data concerning the safety profile of vaccines and Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection features in liver transplant (LT) recipients have not been collected. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the protectiveness and safety profile of the inactivated vaccines in LT patients against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Omicron variant infections. A multi-centre retrospective study was conducted in...

A phytochemical investigation of Bidens procera L.C.Xu ex X.W.Zheng afforded two novel polyacetylenes, tridecane-2E-monoene-4,6,8-triyntylen-1,13-diol-12-O-β-glucoside (1) and tetradecane-2E,8E-diene-4,6-diyne-1,14-diol-13-O-β-glucoside (2), together with ten known compounds (3 − 12). Their chemical structures were elucidated by NMR and MS spectrums as well as the comparison of the published data. Furthermore, the chemotaxonomy of the yielded compounds was also discussed.

Investigation on bioactive metabolites produced by an endophytic fungus Trichoderma citrinoviride from the arils of Torreya grandis

Xiaohui Kong, Lin Xu, Xiaokang Ji, Shengli Yang & Hui Zhang
An endophytic fungus Trichoderma citrinoviride capable of producing active substances was isolated from the arils of Torreya grandis. Seven compounds were separated from the ethyl acetate extract of fermentation broth and mycelium by chromatography, respectively identified as trichomerol (1), bisorbicillinolide (2), sohirnone A (3), emodin (4), stigmasterol (5), ergosterol (6), daidzein (7). This study is the first to report of the isolation of the endophytic fungus T. citrinoviride from the arils of T. grandis with...

Influence of post-thaw culture duration on pregnancy outcomes in frozen blastocyst transfer cycles

Hui Ji, Shanren Cao, Hui Ding, Li Dong, Chun Zhao, Junqiang Zhang, Jing Lu, Xiuling Li & Xiufeng Ling
In this study, we aimed to evaluate whether post-thaw culture duration affected the clinical outcomes of frozen blastocyst transfer. This retrospective cohort study included 3,901 frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer cycles. The cohorts were divided into two groups based on the developmental stage (day 5 [D5] and day 6 [D6]) and culture duration after thawing (short culture, 2–6 h; long culture, 18–20 h). Women in the short culture group following D6 blastocyst transfer were further divided into...
