Buffer Management For Preferential Delivery In Opportunistic Delay Tolerant Networks

Wahidabanu
ABSTRACT Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN) present many challenges that are not present in traditional networks. Many stem from the need to deal with disconnections which directly impacts routing and forwarding. However as these networks enable communication between wide range of devices, there are secondary problems that routing strategies may need to take care of such as to deal with limited resources like buffer, bandwidth, power. Most of the routing protocols in DTN assume that the...

During 2010 the LHC delivered pp collisions with a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. In this paper, the results of comprehensive studies of missing transverse energy as measured by the CMS detector are presented. The results cover the measurements of the scale and resolution for missing transverse energy, and the effects of multiple pp interactions within the same bunch crossings on the scale and resolution. Anomalous measurements of missing transverse energy are studied, and algorithms...

Shashank Shekhar, Ivan Marinkovic, Aysan Durukan, Miia Pitkonen, Daniel Strbian, Usama Ramadan & Turgut Tatlisumak
ABSTRACT PURPOSE
Decompressive Craniectomy (DC) improves outcomes after experimental Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in rats. We tested whether DC was associated with changes in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) signals in the lesioned brain hemisphere.
METHOD AND MATERIALS
Four groups of rats underwent stereotactically-guided injection of autologous blood into the basal ganglia. Animals were randomly allocated to no decompressive craniectomy (No-DC) or to decompressive craniectomy at 1hour (1h-DC), 6 hours (6h-DC), or 24 hours (24h-DC). A fifth...

Sistem Pengarang, Penerbit, Dan Pembaca Cerpen Indonesia Di Yogyakarta Pada Masa Awal Orde Baru

Tirto Suwondo
This study examines the social system of Indonesian short stories in Yogyakarta in the early days of the New Order (1966-1980). The goal is to obtain a significant picture of the existence of literary system (short story) at that time in order to compile (book) the history of Indonesian literature in Yogyakarta. The theory used is the macro-literary theory as developed by Tanaka. From the discussion of the social system (author, publisher, reader) it can...

Measurements of primary charged hadron multiplicity distributions are presented for non-single-diffractive events in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of s√=0.9, 2.36, and 7 TeV, in five pseudorapidity ranges from |η| < 0.5 to |η| < 2.4. The data were collected with the minimum-bias trigger of the CMS experiment during the LHC commissioning runs in 2009 and the 7 TeV run in 2010. The multiplicity distribution at s√=0.9TeV is in agreement with previous measurements. At higher...

A search for supersymmetry is presented using a sample of events with b jets and missing transverse momentum. The search uses a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35 pb−1, collected with the CMS detector. A total of 0.33+0.43−0.33 (stat.) ± 0.13 (syst.) events is predicted, using control samples in the data, to arise from standard model processes, and one event is observed in the...

Measurement of the lepton charge asymmetry in inclusive W production in pp collisions at root √s=7  TeV

Lea Caminada, Filip Moortgat, Leonardo Sala, Ludwig Tauscher, Carmelo Marchica, Luc Pape, Pascal Nef, Rainer Wallny, Zhiling Chen, Felicitas Pauss, Marco Rossini, Andrea Rizzi, Konstantinos Theofilatos, Christina Urscheler, Matthias Weber, Thomas Punz, Serguei Chatrchyan, Christoph Grab, Et Al., Klaus Freudenreich, Sergio Cittolin, Marie-Christine Sawley, Lukas Wehrli, Predrag Milenovic, Frédéric J. Ronga … & Francesca Nessi-Tedaldi
A measurement of the lepton charge asymmetry in inclusive pp → WX production at s√=7TeV is presented based on data recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb−1. This high precision measurement of the lepton charge asymmetry, performed in both the W → eν and W → μν channels, provides new insights into parton distribution functions.

Search for same-sign top-quark pair production at √s=7 TeV and limits on flavour changing neutral currents in the top sector

Thomas Punz, CMS Collaboration, Francesca Nessi-Tedaldi, Pierre Lecomte, Luc Pape, Andrea Rizzi, Konstantinos Theofilatos, Serguei Chatrchyan, Frédéric J. Ronga, Pascal Nef, Daniel Treille, Jürg Eugster, Ludwig Tauscher, Marie-Christine Sawley, Marco Rossini, Nicolas Chanon, Michael Dittmar, Filip Moortgat, Alessandro Thea, Pablo Martinez Ruiz Del Arbol, Benjamin Stieger, Lea Caminada, Christoph Grab, Leonardo Sala, Predrag Milenovic … & Zhiling Chen
An inclusive search for same-sign top-quark pair production in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV is performed using a data sample recorded with the CMS detector in 2010, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35 pb−1. This analysis is motivated by recent studies of pp¯→tt¯ reporting mass-dependent forward-backward asymmetries larger than expected from the standard model. These asymmetries could be due to Flavor Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC) in the top sector induced by t-channel exchange of...

Measurement of the t-Channel Single Top Quark Production Cross Section in pp Collisions at √s=7  TeV

Werner Lustermann, Christoph Grab, Andrea Rizzi, Alessandro Thea, Carmelo Marchica, Marco Rossini, Jürg Eugster, Zhiling Chen, Nicolas Chanon, Lea Caminada, Günther Dissertori, Pascal Nef, Pablo Martinez Ruiz Del Arbol, Wieland Hintz, Filip Moortgat, Joanna Weng, Thomas Punz, Christina Urscheler, Lukas Wehrli, Rainer Wallny, Ludwig Tauscher, Pierluigi Bortignon, Ann-Karin Sanchez, Luc Pape, Felicitas Pauss … & Sergio Cittolin
Electroweak production of the top quark is measured for the first time in pp collisions at √s=7  TeV, using a data set collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36  pb−1. With an event selection optimized for t-channel production, two complementary analyses are performed. The first one exploits the special angular properties of the signal, together with background estimates from the data. The second approach uses a multivariate analysis...
